About

Hi, I’m Franky, a CAD/BIM specialist based in Quebec, Canada, with more than 17 years of experience in civil engineering design.

My work is on the production side of infrastructure projects: roads, highways, municipal networks and structures. Day to day, I support engineers and technicians in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, build templates and CAD standards, create training content, and develop tools that remove repetitive work.

What you’ll find here

  • Practical Civil 3D guides: pressure networks, corridors, profiles, styles and templates, written from real production problems.
  • Automation: .NET C# plugins, AutoLISP routines, Dynamo and Power Platform tools for CAD/BIM teams.
  • BIM and interoperability: IFC, LandXML and data exchange between Autodesk, Bentley and other platforms.
  • Tips from the support desk: the questions that come up again and again, and how to solve them for good.

Why this blog

Much of the useful know-how in civil CAD/BIM lives in forum threads and in people’s heads. CyberGroundProject is my place to document what works, share tools, and keep learning. Articles are published in English, French and Portuguese.

Opinions and content on this site are my own and do not represent any employer or client.
