Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

CyberGroundProject (cybergroundproject.com) is a personal technical blog about civil engineering CAD/BIM. This page explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is operated from Quebec, Canada.

What we collect

  • Comments. When you leave a comment, the site stores the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and your browser’s user agent. This is used to display your comment, to moderate it and to fight spam. Your email address is never displayed publicly.
  • Emails you send. If you contact us by email, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to answer you.
  • Server logs. Like every website, the hosting server records technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Security. Failed login attempts are recorded with the IP address to protect the site against brute-force attacks.

The site does not sell your data, does not show advertising and does not currently use analytics or tracking tools.

Cookies

The site uses only the cookies it needs to work: your cookie consent choice, your preferred language, your light or dark display preference and, if you comment, optional cookies that remember your name and email for next time. You can manage your choices at any time from the cookie banner, or delete cookies in your browser.

Embedded content

Some articles may include content embedded from other websites (for example videos). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other website, which may collect data about you under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep data

  • Approved comments and their metadata are kept as long as the article is online.
  • Comments marked as spam are deleted automatically.
  • Server and security logs are kept for a limited time by the hosting provider.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information the site holds about you, including your comments, or withdraw your consent at any time. These rights are provided in particular by Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Canada’s PIPEDA and, for visitors in Europe, the GDPR. Write to the address below and we will answer within 30 days.
